Schlowy Custom Motorcycles is a custom motorcycle builder  in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa.

Our custom-built motorcycles, products, accessories and services offer the African motorcycle tourist everything he/she needs; products, accessories and training to ensure the ultimate trans African motorcycle tour that is both safe and full of adventure. Our motorcycle accessories are state-of-the-art offering a range of active and passive protection for all parts, systems and components.

Our trans African motorcycling philosophy is to leave nothing to chance. We take into consideration any anticipated fault or potential weakness and resolve it into a new solution (our philosophy for more). This is why we are committed to rider training – both on the track or off road.

We offer repairs, maintenance or customisation to any make of motorcycle or quad that is intended to be used for long distance touring or adventure. With a thirst for the unknown, adventure and the open road a Schlowy Custom Motorcycle is an adventure lifestyle investment built with a zero tolerance philosophy.

We are also a resource for tours, rides and breakfast runs around South Africa. Our rental division can assist you with a rental motorcycle usually a BMW 650 Dakar.

NOTE: We courier our products to all parts of South Africa. Delivery time is usually 2 to 3 days. The cost for this service is around R70-00 per box

I am looking for top box for a K1200GT (06). it needs to hold a lap top or a helmet (not at the same tme).
Can you help.

Thanks for your enquiry.

I’m sorry but at the moment we do not have a topbox deep enough to hold a helmet. Our topbox has an inside measurement of 435 x 305 x 167 which is perfect for a laptop but is not deep enough for the helment.

Have you considered using a lockable catch on the side of your bike that locks your helmet to the bike via the buckle? Most BMW’s have one fitted as standard.
